We have increased student online learning using Teams as the predominant method of delivery. This may be supplemented with face to face delivery on site in the coming weeks, for those students who require additional support. All students have been sent information on how to download and set up Teams. Should any student have difficulties with this, please contact admin@utcsheffield.org.uk and we will address your query as soon as possible. Therefore, our offer of face to face teaching, in line with government advice is that we will invite key worker/vulnerable/students who cannot access online delivery.

Please see the Letters page and the Covid-19 Update page for more information.

In these unprecedented times, we are sorry that we are unable to run the parents evening on 15 July 2020.  If you have any pressing concerns, please contact admin@utcsheffield.org.uk

Welcome from Principal Alex Reynolds

Welcome to UTC Sheffield City Centre campus. I am delighted to be leading this outstanding centre for technical and academic education.

Our students develop high-level skills and enjoy fantastic career and university prospects from apprenticeships to prestigious Russell Group institutions. I am proud of their achievements and their hard work, which is encouraged through the highly professional and careers-focused ethos which we cultivate.

UTC Sheffield – which is Ofsted graded ‘good’ – was the first UTC to open in Yorkshire and Humber in September 2013. All students complete a technical qualification in one of two industry specialisms, either advanced engineering and manufacturing or creative and digital media, in addition to GCSEs and A Levels.

As noted by Ofsted, our students develop good industry skills on highly effective study programmes, which increase their chances of securing employment and apprenticeships in the region and beyond.

Students mention that the atmosphere at the UTC is purposeful and focused, but also friendly and vibrant. Students come to us because they want to learn and relish the opportunity to concentrate on their studies alongside others with similar interests – whilst enjoying an extensive programme of personal and social development.

On behalf of the dedicated and professional team at UTC Sheffield City Centre campus, I hope that you will want to find out more and will join us on this exciting journey of employer-led education.
